This page explains how RecoverJob's Missed Call Text Back (MCTB) and AI qualifying agent send automated SMS messages on behalf of businesses, how recipient consent is obtained via SMS keyword opt-in, and how recipients can opt out at any time.

How It Works

How Our Missed Call Text Back System Works

The steps below describe the exact experience every caller goes through, with real screenshots and the exact message wording sent at each step.

Step 1

Customer Calls the Business Number

A customer calls the contractor's dedicated RecoverJob business number and the call goes unanswered. No SMS is sent at this point — the missed call is simply detected by our system.

Step 2

Opt-In Request — First & Only Message Sent Without Consent

Action required from recipient

The customer receives a single opt-in SMS identifying the business and asking permission to continue by text. This is the only message ever sent before consent is confirmed.

{Business Name} is dynamically replaced with the actual name of the specific business the customer called. RecoverJob sends messages on behalf of that specific business only.

Step 3

Customer Replies YES to Opt In

The customer must actively reply YES to receive any further messages. If they do not reply, or reply STOP, no additional messages are ever sent. Consent is never assumed.

Step 4

AI Asks 3 Qualifying Questions

Once the customer opts in, our AI agent asks three quick questions by text to understand what they need — what service, how soon, and what type of property — so the business can call back a warm, qualified lead instead of a cold missed call.

"One more — is this for a home, rental property, or commercial space?"
Step 5

Closing Message — With Booking Link

After the customer answers all three questions, they receive a closing message thanking them for their answers. If the business has a booking link on file, it's included so the customer can book directly; the business is also notified to follow up personally.

Step 6

Customer Replies STOP to Opt Out

At any point in the conversation, the customer can reply STOP to immediately and permanently opt out. No further messages are ever sent to that number unless they reply START to resubscribe.

If No Booking Link Is On File

Businesses without a booking link on file send this closing message instead:

"Thank you for your answers! We'll have someone reach out to you shortly. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply."
